| if you click the 'HOST AN IMAGE' icon when posting a reply you will get an option to upload a picture from your computer select a picture from your computer, an click 'OPEN' an then it will give you some options to use as size (Resize image) the options are 'NO' '1024 px width' (wallpapers) '800 px width' (for forums) '640 px width' (for websites) '320 px width' (for blogs) (FORUMS, is the best to pick) you then click 'HOST IT' an it will give you 'LINKS' an the ability to use it as a 'Thumbnail' 'Image' 'Image url' you then copy this link, an 'paste it' THIS IS A 'THUMBNAIL'THIS IS A 'IMAGE'THIS IS A 'IMAGE URL'https://i.servimg.com/u/f67/13/67/55/23/00410.jpg just like i've done above the last 'LINK' will give you an off site direct link, to the full size picture rather than the resized version for forums You can do it this way or use an off site image host, like imageshack, or photobucket, an more for some of those 'HOST' sites you will need to insert the image tag into the 'INSERT IMAGE' icon, when posting a reply, or starting a post others you may not need to click 'PREVIEW' to check your images an post before, fully posting onto the forum if the links dont work either try it with out using the 'INSERT IMAGE' icon, an 'PREVIEWING' again or try another link 'PREVIEW' will also allow you time to check your post/ thread an check for spelling/grammar/or time to change your mind in what your posting hope that makes sense an helps regards HOSS | |

| Cheap mods (courtesy of the mother in law) "Waterproofed" some electrics with this liquid rubber: This stuff saved the trucks steering servos, after they ended up doing very good submarine impressions. | |

Want a new air filter though,

Does this one bolt straight on? Or do i need a velocity stack as well?

| If you buy this full kit then you won't, the piece you need to fit the HPI filter is like a stack but has a lip round the edge so it all clips together, thats the part in the top right of the pic with the two brass holes

| Yup, ordered one!! Cheers again Wol.
Got the baffles/wadding out the stock can, the first tank performance wasn't all that (found out servo travel settings weren't quite right, duh!!!!!!).
Second tank (and some tuning), I'm leaving Back to the Future style trails every where!!!!!
Coming from Nitro, you tune by smoke, but this buggy isn't smoking much (if at all). The performance wasn't quite there till now.. but still not a lot of smoke at all. Is this too lean? I'm using shell advance ultra 2T at 25:1.

| no mate thats fine they dont smoke like a nitro or no where near as much tune by performance an spark plug colour but oil/fuel mixture content will make a difference to tune,an performance removing the baffling is a great free power mod an does free up the stock can loads full throttle travel is always a good idea but sounds like your having fun with it bud leaving large 11's everywhere is half the fun of a largescale not that i would ever do such things | |

| I see. And we're after a chocolate brownie colour on the plugs, if I remember right. Oh mate, having much fun indeed tearing up grass everywhere!! Still need to refine engine tune, throttle/brake setups, steering is almost there (but have this weird pull to the right under acceleration), and upgrades (Outerwears, HPI air filter, shock socks, and DIY side skirts to keep more crap from getting inside). Lots to do still.. eventually like to get bigger engine in for some TARMAC MUNCHING power!! Cheers again for tuning info =) | |

| Spot on, just what I needed. At first I was looking at the metal (electrode?) part of the plug, thinking it varies a lot between pic 6 - 24. It's the colour and coating on the ceramic part we need to look at, right? It seems to get paler and paler and eventually crumbles away (going from rich to lean). Bookmarked the page. Gonna have a look next week. | |
