I have the first 2 weeks off in Augest so its a crapper for me there,

Will try to be at CB10 for more then a few hours,

Did enjoy my time there last time though,

If all goes well by Wednesday night i should be in a better position then i am now,

Then even better in a month or two,

I had last week off bar Sunday and am off this week till Thursday,

Thur-Fri-Sat is my Contract though, Sunday is overtime every week, And The comeback is on a BH weeked which i always work,

I think my cover was blown in less than 15mins LOL

Still doing clean down..not gotten very far, clocked up 90hrs last week.

Gotten back and only brushed off sand and wd40 the whole kit..luckily rust is only very light.

Have you a servo on the way? Are you bothered much if the steering ones don't match? I have a spare standard sized high torque servo if you need...

I've got 2 on their way from HongKonganese, will hopefully be here within a month...

The damage ended up as one front bumper, and 2 servos.....

Bear in mind 1 steering servo had died earlier, then the throttle servo died after it's ( ahem ) meeting with the small concrete block

Aside from that bumper, mine's nice and straight....Carl's Baja didn't fare so well...

Twisted chassis, chassis brace, shock brace - and his runaway wasn't as far as mine

Apparently, his hit the boulder's mine went between, then I went full bore into the barricade ( audio evidence )

The new shell looks great though. Besides replacing servo's and bumper, are you doing anymore work/mods on it?

The brakes are phenominal on it..wish I can get mine to brake as hard..

I'm going to do the engine at some point, at least up it to a 27.2, but aside from that and an exhaust, I can't think of anything else bud.....honestly

As for the brakes, that's just a single disc, lol....Hoss is running triple carbon ( I believe ) on his, don't know if you saw his going.

Sounds good on the engine & pipe combo. Make it meaty..yummm

Hell no the MCD certainly ISNT light

The 'SPORT' version comes with a 'SINGLE' disc brake, which is MORE than enough, its so good you can at points 'ENDO' an get the arse in the air

The 'COMP' comes with a 'TWIN' disc brake, which is FANTASTIC

The reason they are so GOOD, an miles better than nearly all that are out there, is due to the fact the BRAKES are on the CENTRE drive shaft
so they brake the WHOLE drive train at the same time.

I know the FTX is the same sort of design, but MCD's as a whole run a LARGESCALE servo on the throttle an brakes too.
A High torque, servo with a good holding power, would most likely improve yours too bud .

Most other largescale models brake on the rear drive train,as they are RWD, BAJA, FG, CLONES, an several others do, an with so much forward momentum, an inertia with their weight, it makes the brakes pretty ineffective, an again they need an VERY good high torque servo to make them work well.

Some fit front brakes to help with this problem, shifting the braking inertia towards the front, an that can work very well, but its not that cheap to do on any of the models.

Yup same brake on shaft setup on mine, but running a high torque standard sized servo at the mo.

When that sucker burns out, going to drop a large scale servo in..

Sure, would like a go..but don't trust myself: there're not many things I've tried and not got hooked on =(

Bigred only uses a standard crappy servo and he does endo's

Loses wheels as well
