Well its been a while since I last posted in the leccy section but as I only have the baja, Laura decided to buy me another model, so I asked for the Maverick Strada SC truck as its nice and cheap and I didn't want anything too serious.

Anyway got to open it this morning obviously lol and had a pokey roundy.

First off it comes with 2.4ghz, nothing special but 2.4ghz none the less, underneath the shell there is a little bit of ally, centre brace, shock caps, shock towers are ally. then I noticed that the centre drive shaft seems to be made from stainless steel, lovely.

Then I proceeded to rip out the brushed motor and esc (which will be going in my sons royal flash lol), and found that the pinion is nice and chunky and the spur gear is steel, nice one Me prezzy fromt otherarf 650594

So at 8am I installed the 3.5t Losi Brushless combo that Iain kindly gave me for my birthday (thanks Iain)

Haven't tested it yet though, that will be tomorrow when Myself, Iain, Jerre and nick hit the tarmac with muchos lipoedge hahaha

Nice one Wol,

Steel spur? Crazy.

Maverick are just so unbelievably good value, when you compare them to other models in their range (like Ansmann!) they are leagues ahead in quality.

Yeah they are matey and yes the spur shocked me aswell lol I was 100% expecting a nice plastic one all ready to strip hahaha

We'll see how it goes tomorrow lol

Looking fab Wol, I'm getting more and more tempted by getting a little Maverick model at some point just to mess about with, they do look like fantastic value for money GOOD

Will be good to see how it runs come the end of January.

Ha dit out for a little blast today on 2s and its bloody quick but unfortunately something happened to the esc and it stoped working after about 3mins.

When I got back though I plugged it in to the comp , changed a setting and it started working again hahaha

So really I'm still yet to see how it goes properly lol
