New RC Car Speed Record

Hi

A new RC Car speed record was set at the ROSSA UK RC Vehicle Speed Championships on 13th Sept 2009 beating the existing record that was set by Nic Case in 2008 at 161.34 mph. The new record was set by A J Lovering (me!) with a hybrid rocket powered car at 163.51mph. Here is the video

any idea what speed Jay Draycott got with his CR buggy? hes from my local track... i heard he was aiming for 100mph

Jay got the 2 cell record with 87ish. He didnt run the buggy. Kevin Simms got 100mph with a B4 and 111 with a Lossi XXXS

I wouldn't even bother to respond to them Tony. Whatever you do it won't be good enough.

I agree though that the video does not show the actual speed very clearly and I can to a point understand why they are disbelieving the record.

Congrats on the new record mate, You deserve it.

Hi

the 2010 UK rc speed championships are being held on 11/12 september at Long Marston Airfield as usual. I am aiming for 200 mph this year so should be fun
