Those of you who know me, will know about MMB, which i converted to twin 380 size brushless and twin lipo.
She was clocked at 39mph with that set up, but i've always thought more was possible,
So, I've been away doing my mad scientist bit,
first off, there's now an alloy locking spool, doing away with the planetaries which like melting.....
a slight modification to the plastic parts of the chassis.....
then, heyho, a 540 size, yes, that's a 540 size C4 7700kv motor.......
( this also shows the damage a 9t (4000kv motor) did to the original spur, lol. Cheers to wol for the steel mount)
60 amp esc.....
4000mah 7.4v lipo.....
positioning of the esc, where the normal batteries would go......
and finally, the complete layout......
To get the lipo in, I've raised the front and rear bodyposts a notch or two, and extended the posts which the original esc would sit on.
All that's left to do are solder the connections on and await the alloy spur gear on it's way from the states.
Not sure what speed this thing is going to do now, but it's going to be tested on the 21st at Notts.........
I'm not crazy.....I'm just obsessed with making this little git EXTREMELY fast,
